Meritage at the Claremont
Scott Quinn’s entry into the culinary world began at age 14, cooking for his mother Susan. Since then, Quinn has been developing his own signature style that marries his real-world skill and passion for culinary discovery.
Quinn brings that signature style, and more than 15 years of kitchen experience, to The Claremont Hotel Club and Spa as Chef de Cuisine for Meritage at the Claremont.
Quinn oversees six team members and is responsible for the creative direction of Meritage at The Claremont, the hotel’s signature restaurant.
Quinn will build on the restaurant’s foundation of contemporary Californian cuisine through varied menu options, seasonal ingredients and expert wine pairings.
Quinn joined Meritage at the Claremont in October 2012 after moving to the Bay Area from Los Angeles.
Prior to this role, Quinn held the position of Chef de Cuisine at Los Angeles hotspot, Bagatelle.
His impressive experience includes work as the Executive Sous Chef at Red Rock Café, Garde Manager and Chef de Partie at Fiamma Trattoria, and Sous Chef at Bouchon Bistro in Las Vegas where he studied under the tutelage of renowned Chef Thomas Keller.
Quinn received his formal culinary education at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. When not in the kitchen, Quinn can be found spending time with friends and family or developing his passion for amateur carpentry.
